SUZETTE HELLER
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Suzette Heller hails from Detroit, Michigan and served Enlisted in the US Army from 1993 to 2005 between Active Duty Army and Michigan National Guard. Suzette received her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan majoring in Psychology & Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Political Science. She received a master’s degree from Trinity Law School with a concentration in Legal Studies of Nonprofit Law. Suzette has been an Alumni of Save A Warrior since August 2017 with Cohort 0031. She is a member of the American Legion & Auxiliary, AMVETS, life-member of Disabled American Veterans and member of the Moose, Eagles, and Elks Fraternal Clubs.
Her grassroots experience of legislative advocacy while with Student Veterans of America (SVA) propelled her into collaborating with the Veteran Service Organizations where she began a career with The American Legion Department of Michigan, relocating to the American Legion Department of Ohio in 2013 as the Director of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, Legislative, National Security, and served as Department Adjutant from 2018 to 2021.
Suzette’s experience and passion for benevolence, advocacy, and charitable philanthropy on behalf of Veterans and First Responders makes her an excellent addition to the Team of Excellence at Save A Warrior!
